Holiday Generosity

  • Lakepoint Church S63W13694 W Janesville Rd Muskego USA (map)

All of us at Lakepoint Church are looking to reach out generously over the holidays, and here are some opportunities we recommend.

  • Peru Child Sponsorship and Trip Info Meeting.  We have 10 kids in Peru that need as "Sponsor."  Sponsors give and receive letters with their child a couple of time per year, and their $40/month covers food, tutoring, and a chance to hear about Jesus for that child on a daily basis. Sponsor packets are available in our lobby starting 11/13.
ALSO, Sponsors (and anyone at Lakepoint) have the opportunity to visit their child and the sixty others in our program July 15-22, 2023, while doing meal prep, light construction, and hosting a Bible camp.  A no-commitment info meeting about this trip will be held on November 20th, 11:15-11:40, in Lakepoint's Momentum Conference Room.

  • Agape House Food Collection.  We're looking for items for this fantastic boarding school for young girls exiting traumatic life situations.  Please see this list or lobby table for details on what is needed, or email Colleen Regner <colleenregner@gmail.com>.

  • Chosen Foster Care Closet Drive.  We're collecting winter coats/snow pants (used or new) and socks/underwear (only new in-package please) for children and teen sizes.

  • Lakepoint Church's Muskego Circle Community Center is Hosting a Vendor Fair to benefit local mother Stephanie Johnson as she fights pancreatic cancer.  You can support the event by 1) showing up and shopping at Lakepoint 12/3, 10:00AM - 4:00PM, 2) participating in the soup cook off competition, or 3) volunteering for one of these roles:

    • Set up/Check in: 2 people from 8am-10am

    • Raffles/Soup/Runner: 2 people from 10-1 and 2 people from 1-4

    • Clean up: 2 people from 3:30-5
Please reach out to Shannon if interested Shannon@muskegocircle.com

  • Open Donations to Lakepoint Families in Need. Sometimes people ask our pastors, "Do you know of any families at Lakepoint or in our local community who are in need right now?"  The answer is yes.  Food and financial assistance are most helpful, but if you have other forms of creative generosity you'd like to offer that's fun too.  You may make a donation designated as "local outreach" or push ideas to Brian Hofmeister brian@lakepointmuskego.org.

  • Muskego School Social Work Gift Cards. We're collecting gift cards to Kohls, Aldi or any other clothing/grocery store really, which will be used by Muskego School Social Workers to meet the under-resourced needs of Muskego kids.
