Week #1: Ask & Imagine: Series Intro (Eph 3)

This is an excerpt from Pastor Brian’s first sermon in the Ask & Imagine series. It’s been quite a journey in the 10 years since Lakepoint Church moved out of Muskego High Gymnasium and into this space. We’ve witnessed growth in every corner.

Week after week, we welcome guests, host missional communities, and create moments where Jesus meets people right where they are—in worship, in prayer, in life’s struggles. Our hospitality has extended beyond our walls, as we’ve opened our space 365 times a year through Muskego Circle Community Center.

Still, we believe God is asking us to Ask & Imagine what’s next. Ephesians 3:20 reminds us: “God is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine.” So, let’s dream like children again, asking boldly, imagining freely.

What might a two-year season of Asking & Imagining look like? A vision for our Facilities, our FamiliesChurch Planting, and the heart of our Church.

God has more in store than we can imagine—and this is just the beginning.

Week #2: Ask & Imagine: Some Things Matter More to Me (Eph 3:1-11)

Most of us have a different definition of the word "church." At Lakepoint, "church" is what we do on Sundays, how we navigate our everyday circles, a building that we meet in, God's plan A for the world and a group of people who are together in the name of Jesus. As we look forward, we believe that God wants us to keep our eye on the ball.

This week's sermon is focused on Ephesians 3:1-11 where we learn about the mystery, the responsibility and the plan for God's church.

This sermon series is critical if you call Lakepoint your home church. Understanding how we understand our scriptural role in this world as God's church is key for our church's effectiveness and unity. This sermon includes the Rad family's experience coming to Lakepoint and finding a new experience of "church."

Week #3: Ask & Imagine: Days that I Demand Something From God (Eph 3:12-15)

Bold faith and bold prayer are essential components for experiencing significant growth in our Christian journey. As we outline a two-year vision for our church that aims to expand multiple areas of our church, it’s clear that we need to deepen our commitment to prayer. We believe in miracles, but we also recognize that prayer can lead to both God’s "yes" and His "no".

When we pray, we’re not just making requests; we’re engaging in a transformative conversation with God. This practice helps us align our hearts with His. Through talking to God, listening for His guidance, persisting in our petitions, and responding to His invitations, we cultivate a deeper intimacy with our Heavenly Father. This connection fosters both bold faith and bold prayer, empowering us to move forward confidently in our mission as a church. By embracing this journey together, we can expect to see remarkable growth in our spiritual lives and in the life of our church.

Week #4 Ask & Imagine: Giving What I’ve Got and Getting What Matters More (Eph 3.17-19)

We often find it easier to share our voting choices than to discuss how we give financially. Many of us have heard confusing teachings about generosity in church, which can make money a tricky topic to address. This teaching aims to break that barrier. Brian and Melissa explore some key scriptures about tithing and share personal stories that show how their understanding of generosity has evolved.

Week #5: Ask & Imagine: Infinitely More than I Ask & Imagine Ephesians 3:20-21

As the final message of our Ask & Imagine Sermon Series, Brian lays out how financial generosity makes a difference in the life of your church family. This is definitely a family-centered sermon that includes a call to action for commitment. If you haven't listened to the other sermons in this series, we encourage you to go back and listen to those first.
